"Olde Friends"
Music, fashion, poster art, make-up, the latest hair styles, the Beatles or any English Group, flower power in the 60's was "where it was at". This sculpt "Olde Friends" is of my dear friend Barb and I with our music. The high light of our week was to go to the record store and buy the latest LP or 45 and collect the Top Ten list from our favorite radio station WLS or Super CFL in Chicago. Music was our passion! The 60's were a time in the world when life changed forever in an explosion of color. The dolls depicted are 5 inches tall and made of polymer clay over a wire armature and dressed in actual outfits we had back in the day. On the bench is a box of 45's and various LP's made also of polymer clay. There are also magazines and books made by me as well. In our hands we're holding our favorite packs of cigarettes and I'm also holding my purple flower power "Zippo" lighter. In this piece no detail was too small to add. MAY THE 60's LIVE ON IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER!!
